Re: Anti-Corbyn coup fails - so far!
http://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/just-one-in-four-brand-corbyn-capable-as-poll-ratings-plunge-in-year-as-leader-a3345611.html
Labour was dealt a heavy blow today with an exclusive poll revealing Jeremy Corbyn’s key leadership ratings have plunged in his first year as leader.
His ratings have sunk for being a “capable leader” and having “lots of personality”, while fewer than one in five think he would be “good in a crisis”, the Ipsos MORI research reveals.
Fewer than a quarter of voters (24 per cent) think he is a capable leader, compared with 68 per cent who say the same of Theresa May.
Damningly, more Labour supporters see the Tory leader as capable (58 per cent) compared with him (46 per cent) and fewer than half are satisfied with his performance.

‘Momentum Kids’ Children’s Political Group Launched By Pro-Jeremy Corbyn Activists Is Being Mocked On Twitter
“It should have been called the National Union of Minors.”
Corbyn-backing activist group Momentum has announced a plan to improve young people’s political engagement and teach them how to campaign for Labour by setting up a network of 150 local groups dubbed “Momentum Kids”.
The left-wing grassroots group will also provide creches and after-school clubs for children aged three and up, “promoting political activity that is fun, engaging and child-friendly”. They say this will free up time so parents and carers can take part in their events.
However, with people seeing it as an attempt by Jeremy Corbyn’s supporters to indoctrinate the youth, which inevitably led to this silliness.....etc.
Oh, what could possibly go wrong with indoctrinating children with fanatical political beliefs? Have they forgotten the horrors of the 20th century already?

Not seeing many working class types so far - they all look like the usual trustafarian pests with smelly dreadlocks, and local government employees on big pensions.

Boring, charm-free, utterly convinced of their own righteousness and moral superiority - yup. And they haven't a snowball's chance of being elected.
Theresa May must have been ROFL-ing while she watched that.

Jeremy Corbyn would be free to sack members of an elected shadow cabinet .... now what do they call that? Not democracy, that's for sure.
Labour proposals could allow Jeremy Corbyn to sack frontbenchers
Deputy leader Tom Watson’s plan seeks to make it easier for MPs who resigned over the summer to return to shadow cabinet.
Jeremy Corbyn would be free to sack members of an elected shadow cabinet and appoint allies to key positions under proposals to be presented to Labour’s national executive committee (NEC) in a crunch meeting on Tuesday.

See, I don't know why his cult think Jezza is so charming, LL. He is exactly like every Trot that has ever walked the earth.
The only blessing is that there is zero chance of his being elected, on last night's showing.
He and his followers were out of touch, out of date, humourless, pompous, ars@holes - utterly charmless. I can see why the rest of the Labour party is shrieking - it is becoming unelectable.

One of Jezza's staunchest supporters:
Just another totalitarian halfwit trying to drum up the world's most pointless boycott - I can't see many of Jezza's grubby cult being interested in holidays in Dubai, somehow.

Re: Anti-Corbyn coup fails - so far!
Up to a thousand Corbyn supporters were due to attend the “Super-Tuesday” rally in Mile End, east London, tonight but The Independent has learnt the leader’s campaign team were alerted the disgraced ex-mayor was planning to attend and exploit it for his own publicity.
With the possibility of Rahman, who was expelled from office by an Election Court judge last year, being photographed alongside Mr Corbyn, the leader’s campaign HQ decided to change the venue and nature of tonight’s proceedings.
Doesn't exactly smack of being in control, does it, if he cancels rallies because of one disgraced crook? What's actually wrong with telling security to throw him out if he shows face?
Ah, all becomes clear....
Despite today's decision, there have been strong links between him and the current Labour leadership.
Corbyn's still chummy with him, but can't be seen to be, in public? And won't set the bouncers on his ally?

Labour loses its majority on Bristol City Council after ‘purge’ of Corbyn supporters.
Three Corbyn-supporting councillors have been expelled, at the cost of the party’s majority.
Labour has effectively lost its majority on a major city council after three councillors were suspended as part of the ongoing party “purge”.
In 2016 the party won a slim majority of 37 seats out of 70 in Bristol, but the suspension of two councillors this week and one at the start of this month leaves Labour with only 34, just short of a majority.

I confess, I have completely lost track of who is Purging who in the Labour party, LL. They seem to be Hell bent on self-destruction, and would be just as well ripping it all up into its assorted factions and starting again.
