Re: Anti-Corbyn coup fails - so far!
http://order-order.com/2016/08/30/corbyns-digital-democracy-guru-supports-continuity-iras-armed-struggle/
Who is the man behind Jeremy Corbyn’s “digital democracy” launch today? Meet Richard Barbrook, a mate of John McDonnell and academic at the University of Westminster who describes himself as a “cybernetic communist” and wrote the book on “Cyber-Communism”. And it gets a lot more sinister than that…..etc.
So, the person that dreamed up today's rubbish from Jezza is some kind of 'cyber communist'? Why am I not in the least bit surprised?

So, Jezza's National Education Service is going to enlighten me, is it?
I think I'll pass - this is turning into the plot of V for Vendetta. Which did have a happy ending, though not for authoritarian, control freak politicians like Jezza.

Yep, and also force you into mandatory voting or face hefty fines or prison. LL

One mistake, LL - mandatory voting for him and his ilk.
Notice he wants his 'National Digital Passport' linked to the voters' roll, and other State-run services? Make one tweet criticizing him, and that's you off to the gulag for enlightenment.

Re: Anti-Corbyn coup fails - so far!
How about this one?
Socialist Labour Party
In 1996, Arthur Scargill founded the Socialist Labour Party after the Labour Party abandoned the original wording of Clause IV – the nationalisation of key industries and utilities – in its constitution. He has contested two parliamentary elections. In the 1997 general election, he ran against Alan Howarth, a defector from the Conservative Party to Labour, who had been given the safe seat of Newport East to contest. In the 2001 general election, he ran against Peter Mandelson in Hartlepool. He lost on both occasions, winning 2.4% of the vote in the Hartlepool election. In May 2009, he was the number one candidate for the Socialist Labour Party for one of London's seats in the European Parliament.
After stepping down from leadership of the NUM, Scargill became active in the UK's Stalin Society saying that the "ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin explain the real world". Scargill had long criticised Poland's Solidarity trade union for its attacks upon the communist system in Poland, which Scargill saw as deformed but reformable.

Re: Anti-Corbyn coup fails - so far!
That would be the extremely rich Arthur Scargill, who siphoned off Lord knows how much from the miners? This one?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-25731328
Former miners' union leader Arthur Scargill tried to use laws introduced by Margaret Thatcher to buy a council flat in London, the BBC has found.
In 1993 he applied to buy the flat on the prestigious Barbican estate under the right-to-buy scheme championed by Thatcher, his political enemy.
News that he tried to exploit a flagship Conservative policy has angered current miners' union leaders.
One former Yorkshire miner said: "It's so hypocritical it's unreal."
The rent on the flat was paid to the Corporation of London by the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), of which Mr Scargill was the then president.
As you may have noticed, I utterly despise these people - they're ten times worse than any tax-dodging Tory, because they hide behind a pretence of virtue.

Oh, look at this:
There already is one. It's called Wiki.
Can you imagine what a socialist, taxpayer-funded version of Wiki would be like?
And then nice Uncle Joe Stalin took all the crops the greedy kulaks had stolen, and made sure widows and orphans had enough bread

Well, what could possibly go wrong with a bunch of Trots and cyber-commies giving out identity cards so people could vote, use the internet, etc?

I, for one, admire Jeremy Corbyn’s attempt to restore the glory days of Windows 95, when the Internet was swashbuckling and free and people spelled online with a hyphen. I share his vision of the information superhighway, based on high-speed dial-up for all. In particular, I like his idea for an Open Knowledge Library: if only someone could think of a catchy name for millions of computers all over the world, all connected to each other and sharing information without charge.

JK Rowling laments Jeremy Corbyn's strong position: 'This isn't bloody funny'
Harry Potter author expresses her dismay on Twitter after YouGov poll showed leader has substantial lead over rival Owen Smith.
JK Rowling has tweeted her frustration with the likely re-election of Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader, claiming the party will not laugh in the future because “this isn’t bloody funny”.
The message from the author of the Harry Potter series, who has more than 8 million followers, triggered a huge response from supporters of the Labour leader, who attacked the message, to others who backed her for expressing the view.

Re: Anti-Corbyn coup fails - so far!
Labour leadership with higher numbers than before – Smith only has himself to blame
While Corbyn shores up 55 per cent of support in London, it is in the Northern heartlands that the Labour leader finds greater levels of support: 63 per cent to Smith’s 37 per cent. Apparently Smith’s commitment to a second referendum isn’t that attractive to the North, much of which voted for Brexit. Who’d have thought it?
------------
Jeremy Corbyn supporters have been expelled from the Labour party for making threats to "cut Tony Blair's eyes out and set him on fire", branding sitting MPs "traitors" and publicly declaring their support for Ukip and the Green party, according to a leaked document.
It follows accusations by the Labour leader and his campaign manager John McDonnell of a "purge" of pro-Corbyn supporters for trivial reasons which sparked a row with Labour staff.

Competent? Honest? Traingate proved Corbyn's neither of those. Mind you, Smith is daily demonstrating that he's a complete idiot too, just in a different way, so I suspect Labour is doomed whoever is elected.
