Sadie, if Gonc thinks he can burble on a la Bennett about Correia and Team McCann, he is in for a very nasty shock.

He has repeatedly libelled the McCanns in his potboiler, in that woeful DVD, and in his many utterances to the media.

Marcos Correia has NO relevance to any of that.

Gonc started this stupid case against Marcos when he was riding high; he didn't forsee the present state of affairs, or that first his trial judge, and then the appeal judge, would uphold the ACED document.

I should think the very last thing Gonc needs just now is all the dirt on his conduct in the PJ being dug up again.

Just to say that I believe for his own ends, Amaral wants Marcos' case to be tried first. And that is the only reason why Cabrita is unavailable. Maybe I am wrong?

Wonder if Cabrita will represent Amaral aginst Marcos? On the very same day? Will be interesting to see.

The lawyer wrote to the courts to advise them he no longer represented Amaral.
If the court finds out they are both lying, there will be big trouble ahead for them. You cannot blatantly lie to any court and expect to get away with it.

Agreed Tony. Seems that I have it wrong, but had persuasive thoughts based on somethings that I know and others dont. That is all that I can say really.

As a plaintive, would Marcos have the opportunity to expose Amarals failings in Court? Would be great if he could.

Didn't realise Amaral started this before his Torture trial. Had previously thought that it was an act of revenge after he lost to Marcos. Wonder why he carried on persuing it after the courts upheld the ACED Report? Still vengeful?

So, there are two ways of looking at this:

1. The Portuguese legal authorities have developed a sudden fondness for Saint Goncalol the Blessed Martyr.

or

2. At the worst possible time for Gonc, Marcos Correia is being given a platform to expose Gonc before the entire world, when all the details about his various bad acts are read out in public, for the benefit of the media.

But, as plaintive, will Marcos be able to do that?

Oh, and given what is in his nasty little potboiler of a book, about a case he wasn't supposed to be involved, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was him who was doing the Sources In The PJ, act.

Before I forget, it wasn't awfully clever of Cristovao to confirm that a plea deal was offered to Kate McCann if she confessed to a crime she hadn't committed, was it?

A confession is proposed to her, with the explanation that the penal context is more favourable in such cases.

That is supposed to be against the law in Portugal.

I suppose we should really thank Cristovao for confirming that Kate McCann was telling the truth.
