Justiça Cega [Blind Justice] is a current events debate television program, hosted by Alberta Marques Fernandes with High Court judge Dr. Rui Rangel, Criminologist Dr. Francisco Moita Flores and the ever ranting, populist demagogue head of the Portuguese Lawyers Order Dr. António Marinho e Pinto. I welcome the freedom assumed by Eurico Saramago (PSD activist, former councilor of the Municipality of Santarém and former president of the Assembly Hall), a clear sign that is already above the petty interests of politics and especially party politics. The Lord Mayor of Santarém, Moita Flores, who long ago dropped the mask of civilized person to assume the offensive style hooligan that lives should put up the miles. Gone are the days of hypocritical statements in which he said he knew nothing of politics and municipal mayors to genuine praise. Even before the end of the first term has insulted right and left all those who did not think like him and all who did not see it the magnificent mayor he is thought to be. What little has done well will be capped by the disaster that was his management of public money, by its arrogance and imperiousness. There is no point threatening to write books on what it considers to be his magnificent work, or to ridicule political opponents. Who was in charge of doing as badly as the worst and be as ridiculous as the pompous pompously ridiculous out there, will not have great publishing success by many stages that still has to strut.

If Morais and those talking heads think it's a good idea to carry on abusing 'England' - note they haven't even got the manners to get the name right - then maybe the UK should think twice about bailing them out of their problems from now on.

Indeed, as the 'English' seem to be so hated in Portugal, maybe they should let their money do the talking - and take it elsewhere.

Portugal's neighbour, Spain, never treats visitors in such a disgusting manner - why should anyone pay their hard-earned money to go somewhere they aren't welcome?

Am I missing something here? Is this Pinto guy part of the investigating team? If not, he should keep his big trap shut, because how can he know the outcome until it is completed, and while there are still witnesses to be interviewed.

Why should Senhor Pinto stay silent? Real free speech works both ways.
