Sabot, you know what is best for you so you need to listen to your body and do what you need to do.
Just remember to have some lasagne with that next bottle of gin, will ya?

We did have some excitement last week at night. We had these massive howling gales, sand swirling and whooshing like I don't know what, and lightening overhead that lit up the whole of the area as if it were mid-day. Went on for several hours.
It was so good to watch. Well it does make a change from heat. Sun. Humidity. etc.
Lightning terrifies me, Lily. And it scared the dog witless, except that I don't have to worry about that anymore. I once saw a bolt of Lightning hit the ground ten feet in front of me and nearly frizzled. I don't go out in Lightning any more. But it is a bit awesome. I count the Thunder Claps which tell me if it is coming or going.

Are you coeliac, ma petite? I am, so have to avoid wheat, I have potato, barley or rye bread. Means I can no longer have fish and chips, unless the batter is made from potato, barley or rye flour. No problems with potatoes, but cannot eat beef, I get sick. Milk allergy also, can't bear soya milk, but I can get lactose-free milk here so no problem should I wish to partake of a rare milk shake. Funnily enough I am not allergic to Durum Wheat, Liliy. But there is a limit to how much bloody Spaghetti you can eat. And actually, I never drink Gin. That is a Forum Myth. Perhaps I should offer that one on The Justice Forum.

Nah, let it be a myth. One day you will have fun with that.
I always feel for animals during thunder and lightening storms. There are many feral cats around here and it pains me to hear them cry. I do try to feed them when I can. Was worried that they would be washed out as the heavens opened up too. Although we do have places where they can shelter but I guess they get scared too.
We have no street drainage - it's not usually needed.
The lightening was right over head. No time to count from thunder to intense flashes. It was very strange as I have never ever seen lightening like that before. It was literally as though it were midday. Weird......

I don't actually know, LL. My Doctor was singularly unsympathetic, and suggested that it was all in my mind, despite the fact that my face was like a balloon at the time, and I had to drag myself out of bed to get there because I felt really dreadful, although this does pass after a couple of hours of being awake.
I am allergic to Coffee and grossly over react to Flea Bites and Mosquito Bites.
One of my children is allergic to eggs, one of them to milk, and one, like me, gets Migraines. But none of them gets quite the bad time that I do.
In the end, I have tried to sort it myself, but not always with great success.
Personally, I think it is all to do with the shit they spray on The Crops, but we can't all afford to eat Organic. It's a bit like it's better to water plants with tap water than to let them die from lack of rain water.
And I do have Rhesus Negative Blood which I suspect doesn't help.

That is Photophobia. And guess what? I've got that as well. See how boring it gets? I spent most of my life in Singapore walking around in sun glasses. But that was okay because it was "Cool" in those days.

Re: Gardening Thread.
By odd timing:
http://news.sky.com/story/1075988/bute-found-in-asda-corned-beef-products
Asda recalls its "Smart Price" corned beef after tests found low levels of veterinary medicine Bute in some of the products.
All batch codes of product affected - 340g tins of 'Smart Price' Corned Beef - have been recalled.
Customers who have bought the 340g tins, with any date code, have been urged not to eat the corned beef but to return it to the supermarket.
It comes just over a month after Asda withdrew the same product after equine DNA was detected.
Further sampling and testing has revealed the presence of low levels of phenylbutazone - used in veterinary medicine as a pain-killer or anti-inflammatory.
A statement from Asda said: "In March 2013 we withdrew tinned Smart Price Corned Beef (340g) after receiving a positive test for horse DNA above the 1% trace level set by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
"Today, 9th April 2013, tests on further batches have shown a positive result for very low levels of horse medication called phenylbutazone, also known as bute, at four parts per billion.
"The FSA has reassured us that the quantities we've found pose a low risk to human health."
That's been the big concern. And 'low risk to health' is guaranteed to start a panic. I'm not worried, I know I haven't eaten any Asda Corned Horse.

This may be the cause of your expensive lasagne, Sabot:
http://news.sky.com/story/1076365/horsemeat-scare-50000-tons-of-beef-recall
Horsemeat Scare: 50,000 Tons Of 'Beef' Recall
Around 500 companies across Europe are affected by the recall - triggered because the source of the meat cannot be traced.

Re: Gardening Thread.
It wasn't quite what I thought it would be, more a guide to pubs, clubs and alternative culture, but about half way through a young lady takes a trip down the Naschmarkt, sampling various foods and also a Turkish sarnie - a wonderful place and where my real home is; we can hear the sounds of the lorries unloading early in the morning as the main window overlooks the market. Someone also visits Hüblers Cafe and Cakeshop, which I have been to many times - the cakes are glorious. LLI've recorded it to watch later, LL.

Florida Hit By Outbreak Of Giant Land Snails
Experts are warning residents about the danger to health and architecture from increasing numbers of plaster-eating molluscs.
Pity the Burmese pythons can't eat them....or Florida could try importing teams of French chefs....

It must be something strange in the DNA of the inhabitants of these isles, Lily...
Oh look, it isn't raining or snowing, and that big orange thing is out! We simply must take all our clothes off and jump in some freezing cold water!
Or maybe it's some kind of ancient ritual....
