Re: Shooting in Paris
I just look at the Coffee Party page if I ever need reminded how deluded some people are, Lily. Sample:
We've got to shed light on ISIS itself. Expose it for what it is, and help the misguided see there is no "right" in random killing of innocent people. Those attracted to such a group are not thinking clearly. They're poor, uneducated and easily controlled. We need to find a way to work together to turn the light on for them.

'ISIS' is what it has been for over a thousand years - militant islam. They don't want her stupid, liberal light - they despise people like he.

Muslim Invasions: Charles Martel
Charles Martel - Battle of Tours:
In 721, the Umayyads first came north and were defeated by Odo at the Battle of Toulouse.
Having assessed the situation in Iberia and the Umayyad attack on Aquitaine, Charles came to believe that a professional army, rather than raw conscripts, was needed to defend the realm from invasion. To raise the money necessary to build and train an army that could withstand the Muslim horsemen, Charles began seizing Church lands, earning the ire of the religious community. In 732, the Umayyads moved north again led by Emir Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi. Commanding approximately 80,000 men, he plundered Aquitaine.
As Abdul Rahman sacked Aquitaine, Odo fled north to seek aid from Charles. This was granted in exchange for Odo recognizing Charles as his overlord.
1,300 years this has been going on for - so I don't really think turning on jihadists' lights, whatever that means, is going to help much. I think we are back to that old favourite - rough men doing violence on those who wish to harm us.

Re: Shooting in Paris
http://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2015/nov/15/paris-attacker-named-investigation-continues-live-updates
Greek and Serbian sources have been sketching out the putative route into Europe of another man considered a suspect in the attacks. The Serbian newspaper Blic published a picture of a passport found in Paris belonging to a 25-year-old man named Ahmed Almohamed, and said he had crossed into the country on 7 October, having arrived four days earlier in Leros, Greece.
It said he continued on into central Europe via Croatia and Austria. The paper reported that French security officials had asked their Serbian counterparts for help as the man had been registered in the southern Serbian town of Presevo.
Hell mend each and every one of the European 'leaders' and the handwringing Useful Idiots that have caused this invasion, with their tears and their stupid signs and hashtags.
It hasn't escaped the notice of the less emotionally incontinent that, apart from the football stadium, the ISIS scum targetted the very people that have been wailing over them and declaring 'refugees welcome, love wins' and other bien pensant nonsense.
And after ISIS had horribly slaughtered the very people who had been feeling sorry for 'migrants', they then insulted the dead in that press release.
Wake up, stupid people!

Re: Shooting in Paris
I do wonder, if, because hipster, moonbat types think all religion is, like, old fashioned and stuff they assume that other people from different cultures are the same? They simply do NOT grasp that, almost uniquely among world faiths, islamic loyalties are to their belief system, and not to the state? So they have no concept of the danger they are inflicting on everyone?
I don't think they grasp that Western liberal democracies and islam are completely incompatible, or that islamists despise their pro-gay, pro-abortion, anything goes, lifestyle. They are the personification of Useful Idiots, and I suspect that hard-core islamists will make full use of them, as anyone can see how weak they really are.
Look at those crybabies in Mizzou - what would they do if they were suddenly attacked by REAL terrorists? Too late to find safe spaces then! ISIS won't listen to their wails about gender equality and micro-aggressions!
And Islam is NOT a race; it is not 'racist' to dislike Islam, because it is a totalitarian belief system, in all but its most moderate forms.

Bonny, I completely despair for those who think they can somehow or another make them see differently by being kind. Their religious leaders will have to teach them the same that they teach them to hate?

Meanwhile here in the US, some people are stamping their feet..
Campus activists in America showed their true faces during an international tragedy last night: they are the selfish, spoiled children we always knew they were.

Some of them are still at it on that twitter feed, Lily...
The rest of them seem to have taken to praying for everyone....
LeveL -1 @KaMui_LVL_M_1 8h8 hours ago

#PrayForParis
#PrayForBaghdad
#PrayForJapan
#PrayForLebanon
#PrayForMexico
#PrayForMizzou
#PrayForEveryone
Which I suppose is at least well-intentioned and harmless - though I HAVE no idea why Japan is included in the praying. Oh, and singing Imagine also appears to be popular.....

Re: Shooting in Paris

Europe was already struggling to respond to the refugee crisis and the Syrian conflict that caused it.
The Paris attacks have been cynically timed to exploit divisions over both.
One of the pillars of Europe's modern way of life, the ability to move freely across the continent, was already crumbling.
But the passport free Schengen travel zone is now threatened like never before.
Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic have all introduced various forms of controls at their borders over the autumn because of the unprecedented wave of humanity sweeping across them.
Oh for goodness' sake, Schengen is only a couple of decades old. I am sure people won't find it all that arduous to produce passports if it lessens the chances of them being blown up when they're out for a beer.

Paris Attacks: Manhunt For 'Dangerous' Suspect
Police warn the public not to approach Salah Abdeslam whose brother was reportedly among seven suicide bombers in the rampage
French police are searching for a "dangerous" man thought to have taken part in the Paris terror attacks and now believed to be on the run.
Salah Abdeslam, 26, reportedly helped with logistics and rented a black Volkswagen Polo used by the gunmen who stormed the Bataclan concert hall and killed at least 89 people.
One of his brothers, Ibrahim Abdeslam, was reportedly among the seven suicide bombers in the co-ordinated attacks targeting six sites across the city on Friday night.
A third brother was apparently arrested in Belgium and questioned before being released.
Salah Abdeslam, who was born in Brussels, is described as 1m 75cm (5ft 8in) tall and has brown eyes
Police released a photo of him and warned the public he is dangerous and said "do not intervene yourself". There are reports he may have fled to Spain.
Another man, Bilal Hadfi, has been named as among the attackers and he also lived in Belgium as did Salah and Ibrahim, said the Washington Post.
Ismael Omar Mostefai, a 29-year-old man from Courcouronnes, a town 16 miles south of Paris in Essonne, has been officially identified as another assailant.
He was one of the terrorists inside the Bataclan, where a rock concert was taking place, and had been flagged for links to Islamic radicalism. His father and brother have been arrested.
A total of 132 people were killed and 352 injured during the gun and bomb rampage carried out by three teams in identical explosives vests who targeted the hall, restaurants and bars and the national stadium.

There certainly is. Is the timing correct though? There is such a gap from the original. However, Muslims are very patient. It is one of their strengths.

Yes, the desire for 'revenge' may have been simmering away for a good while, Lily. And I gather it only changed hands a month ago? They may have thought it was still Jewish owned?
