It's all a shambles, and none of them are fit to clean out a budgie cage. IMO.

If that crook thinks it's a good idea, it's obviously not.

http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/14544822.Scottish_pro_EU_lead_could_evaporate_in_final_stages_of_referendum__study_finds/?ref=mr&lp=2
THE Remain campaign's lead in Scotland "may not be secure" and could evaporate during the final stages of the EU referendum battle, according to new research.
Focus groups conducted with Scots voters showed support for the EU, even among those planning to back Remain in the June 23 poll, is weak.
A large proportion of voters are planning to support the UK staying in the EU not because they are convinced about the benefits of membership, but because they are unsure about the impact of leaving, researchers from think-tank IPPR Scotland and polling company Ipsos MORI discovered.
That sounds considerably more realistic than the Scots just luurrvve the EU rhetoric that's been coming from Ms Sturgeon and others.

God, the horror! Now Major and Blair are sharing a platform to lecture the plebs! I've had to switch it off.
It might help Remain considerably if they don't keep wheeling out political hasbeens of varying degrees of corruption, and luvvies like Eddie Izzard.

IMO, it's not France that is the cause of the animosity, LL - it's Merkel, and rather more recent history. Her arrogance has played a large role in swaying me to Leave.

I guess we will have to disagree on this. But, unlike others elsewhere I could name, we are at least civilised. LLbb1 wrote:IMO, it's not France that is the cause of the animosity, LL - it's Merkel, and rather more recent history. Her arrogance has played a large role in swaying me to Leave.

Well, whatever the result, it will take decades to change anything, LL, and I don't have any bizarre grudges against Europe or Europeans - and didn't against the Common Market.
It's the UN-democratic nature of the EU I object to, not people - if that makes sense?

Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
The problem with the EU is it is top-heavy. When it was originally set up, it was intended for just the western European states, the eastern states being under Soviet control. What has made it pear-shaped is the addition of states that are poor, backward in many respects in an attempt to esnure that no more wars would decimate Europe. But it was in its infancy and I think that too much was attempted too soon. As a committed European I welcomed, and still do, the overall intention to have 'Peace in My Time'. Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
If the U.K. votes to leave on June 23, Paris will push to ensure that consequences are felt swiftly and severely to avoid emboldening anti-EU forces elsewhere in the bloc, senior EU diplomatic sources said.
Yes, because throwing your weight around and bullying people has worked out so well - that's exactly the kind of arrogance I mean.

Majority of MPs in all 3parties want to stay in EU. They're your democratically elected leaders. Voting Brexit overrules your own MPs

EU Referendum: Massive swing to Brexit – with just 13 days to go
Exclusive: polling carried out for ‘The Independent’ shows that 55 per cent of UK voters intend to vote for Britain to leave the EU in the 23 June referendum
I wouldn't be surprised if it's even higher today, after Remain's trainwreck shouting match on ITV - and whatever Eddie Izzard did.

I'm in an Uber pool and everyone is arguing about the EU referendum. Take me back to ambivalent Scotland.
Alas, after Thursday's debacle, everyone is arguing here now, too - IMO, Ms Sturgeon should never, ever have got involved.

Switzerland has referendums all the time, and I don't think they turn into shouting matches and bunfights?
