What a monstrous disappointment for you and people like you, Bonny.
I do however know what you must be feeling.

In England, people tweet journalists demanding they hold government to account.
In Scotland, people tweet journalists demanding they don't.
They won't get any favours from the media - apart from Sputnik - after this business of bullying journos, Lily. It's the kind of stupid arrogance which the hallmark of the SNP nowadays.
I won't even attempt to explain Daisleygate - suffice to say, Scottish social media is even more toxic than #mccann, incredible though that may seem.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Daisleygate latest; after flatly denying for a couple of days that he had anything to do with it, one of the SNP MPs concerned has just admitted, on the madhouse that is Scottish tw@tter, that actually, he DID try to get the journo concerned sacked. Because he didn't approve of who the journo spoke to on tw@tter.....

Proof that two MPs tried to gag a journalist. Brutal.
This isn't the end of the story, IMO, at the very least, we can look forward to more stories about Govanhill, and other scandals Sturgeon and co have been trying to sweep under the carpet.

Oh, the other idiot concerned has just owned up, too:
Two days ago, when this story first broke, the pair of them were denying doing it.

http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/702716/Olympics-medal-table-EU-parliament-tweets-without-Team-GB-27-Golds
The official European Parliament Twitter account tweeted its "huge congratulations" to the European winners at the 2016 Rio games.
Attached was a graphic placing an EU Olympian at the peak of the podium combining all 325 medals into one federal superstate haul.
Sidelining Britain's incredible medal winners, including cyclists Jason Kenny and Laura Trott, boxer Nicola Adams and runner Mo Farah, the European Parliament boasted the EU had trounced the US' 121 medals and China's 70.
Absolutely astounding arrogance.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Latest Scottish financial figures have just been released - and they are a total disaster:
GERS figures: Scotland’s deficit at £14.8 billion
Scotland’s deficit was £14.8 billion for 2015/16 amid plummeting oil and gas revenues, according to new figures. The Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland (GERS) statistics show a deficit of £14.8 billion when a geographic share of North Sea revenues is allocated to Scotland. That amounts to 9.5% of Scottish GDP, compared with the overall UK deficit of £75.3 billion - 4% of UK GDP. North Sea revenue fell from £1.8 billion in 2014/15 to £60 million, reflecting a decline in total UK oil and gas revenues. The figures also show Scotland’s onshore revenues grew by £1.9 billion.

Sturgeon is now releasing many giant squirrels in the vain hope of distracting people from this sea of red ink.

Nicola Sturgeon: Borrowing would have "significant role" to play in cutting Scotland's 9.7% deficit.Refuses to countenance cuts or tax hikes
And who the FECK does she imagine is going to lend her at least 10 billion quid every year for the foreseeable future? Has she the slightest notion of the complete and utter clusterf*ck she's created?
Totally delusional. I can now understand how historic Scottish disasters have occurred.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Sorry, misread the deficit. It isn't 10 billion. It's just under 15 billion.
http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/14701269.Scotland_s_deficit_almost___15bn_as_North_Sea_oil_revenues_fall_97__in_one_year/
The new statistics show that while the country's spending deficit has remained at around £15bn for the 2015-16 financial year, it spent £14.8bn more than it raised in taxes. Scotland's onshore revenues grew by £1.9 billion.
The figures also show that Scottish public sector revenue, including an illustrative geographic share of North Sea revenues, was estimated as £53.7 billion - the equivalent of £10,000 per person and about £400 per person lower than the UK average.
Meanwhile, public spending in Scotland totalled £68.6 billion.
This is equivalent to 9.1% of total UK public sector expenditure, and £12,800 per person, which is £1,200 per person greater than the UK average.
The UK's current spending deficit is £75.3bn.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Over the last couple of years, hundreds of millions of pounds have been thrown away on pet projects that have failed, Lily, on IT systems that didn't work, you name it, money has gone down the drain on it. Never mind more indy referendums, if Sturgeon and co don't get a grip, she's going to be facing calls for Holyrood to be shut down.
There's a bit more to running a country than grandstanding and posing for photo ops.

In Govanhill shocked at the living conditions. Will be working hard with all those involved. More needs to done.
That is a Tory MSP, in Sturgeon's constituency - not that she ever goes there. Apart from the mess in Govanhill, such is the genius of Sturgeon, she's caused a Tory revival here.....

Re: AFTER BREXIT
It's just appalling, Lily.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-37169170
Vulnerable families are being exploited by "rogue landlords" in the midst of the first minister's constituency, a BBC Scotland investigation has found.
They are living in substandard homes in the Govanhill area of Glasgow - but many are too afraid to speak out.
The investigation found a number of de-registered landlords continued to work in the area despite being officially struck off.
It also revealed how public money is being used to buy up slum housing....etc.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Just one of many examples of the money that has been thrown away:
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/another-delay-hits-flawed-nhs-7851304
THE CATASTROPHIC NHS 24 project has suffered another delay.
Already three years late and £50million over budget, the IT system for handling calls from patients has hit yet more technical difficulties.
It was due to go live again on June 14 but a new problem is making computer screens go blank.
But hey, it's only someone else's money.
