Re: AFTER BREXIT
A EU-wide tax was one of the many things, along with Turkish membership and EU armies, that was denied before the referendum, Lily.
The EU isn't even trying to hide that it's turning into a superstate now.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Looks like the parliamentary knives are out for Dave. I wonder if this is really why he has stepped down as an MP?

Yup, looks like that's why he quit:
David Cameron is blamed for the rise of ISIS as a damning report says his 'ill-conceived' war on Colonel Gaddafi 'made the world more dangerous'
David Cameron's intervention in Libya left the country in ruin, MPs said
Foreign Affairs committee found military action spurred the growth of ISIS
Mr Cameron took the country to war against Colonel Gaddafi
The 'ill-conceived' war is also thought to have fuelled the migrant crisis

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Oh, and let's not forget, Cameron was only prevented from doing the same thing in Syria by Milliband's intervention.

I remember that because we were cheering Miliband on here.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Yes - things are bad enough now, but just think of the horror that would have been unleashed if UK - and US -troops had been sent to fight on the same side as ISIS.
I actually doubt if Milliband saw the trap that was being set, but his actions stopped it being sprung.
Oh, and Obama and Hillary's role in destroying Libya shouldn't be forgotten, either.

Mr Salmond took a hot air balloon ride with the SNP's Tasmina Ahmed Sheik
Nice piccie of Oor Eck with his fellow MP and legal advisor Tasmania. Good job he has such a good, close friend, what with Mrs Salmond being older than him and wisely shunning the limelight.

I give it a month till Nige is UKIP leader again, LL, her speech was somewhat less than inspiring....
If UKIP could get themselves organised, they would clean up in much of England, due to the collapse of Labour. I'm not even sure what it is they're arguing about, possibly due to lack of interest.

I am beginning to feel as if it will NEVER be over, Lily. It all seems to have been going on for decades - and you still haven't had your own Presidential election.

Still no explanation as to why a 'trading bloc' needs an army. Unless Merkel wants one to punish countries that won't take in her unsavoury rapefugees. Is she planning to invade Poland, or something?

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Sturgeon jumps the shark:
What, waving a flag is more important than people having jobs, food on the table, roofs over their heads? More important than schools and hospitals?
Stupid bimbo. And no, she hasn't been misquoted:
http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/14749853.Nicola_Sturgeon__Independence__transcends__Brexit__oil_and_the_economy/
Writing exclusively in the Sunday Herald, in an article marking the second anniversary of the vote of 2014, the First Minister also says that self-governance "transcends the issue of Brexit".
Sturgeon writes: “Two years on from the historic vote of 2014, the fundamental case for Scotland’s independence remains as it was. The case for full self-government ultimately transcends the issues of Brexit, of oil, of national wealth and balance sheets and of passing political fads and trends.”
No, actually, it doesn't, because people are funny about things like being able to buy food, pay mortgages, get medical treatment, send their children to school, etc.
I don't know which is worse, the Corbynistas or the lunatics that have taken over the SNP.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Yes, it looks increasingly like it, Lily. Also, she may be starting to panic under pressure from whoever she is answerable to, as all her hot air, demands and threats have achieved less than zero.
I can assure you, that the spectacle of a woman whose income, combined with that of her husband, is no less than £250,000 a year, telling working people, pensioners, etc., that the economy doesn't matter is going down very badly indeed domestically.
