Re: Gardening Thread.
Sabot's garden sounds lovely actually. Bonny's sounds delightful in the sense that I can wear a long coat, boots and gloves.
I am spoiled for choice.
PS. Who want to come here?

Send Bennett. He'll be fine with the Camels.

I like the camels, Sabot but have just thought. They often just stand there in the middle of the road and I don't want them hurt. I suppose he could do something useful for a change and put up some road signs for them?

Re: Gardening Thread.
I was thinking more in terms of Camel Shit Shovelling, Lily. It must be good for the Rhubarb, and he talks enough of it.

Re: Gardening Thread.
It is definitely SHORTSIOS here. 30 degrees in my garden at the moment.
All of my Runner Beans that lost their heads are now sprouting new side shoots, two each, in fact. One might be tempted to cut the heads off all of them if one was very brave.
The Clematis are really interesting because the flowers were pale lilac yesterday evening, but they are now bright purple again in the midday sun.

We are about 24-25c. I am going to have to water everything.....this doesn't happen often....unsurprisingly, we don't have a hosepipe ban

We have been spared so far at 39 C increasing to 43 C tomorrow. Today we have widespread dust.

Re: Gardening Thread.
I have never know a hose pipe ban here, Bonny. But I do save a fair amount of rain water, mostly in black plastic dustbins so it didn't cost very much to set up. And I always water my Cactii with rain water. They will be going out in the garden in a minute for their annual Summer Holiday. And oh my goodness, what a difference that makes to them.
I watered the grass seed at 10 am this morning, and the Two Year Old Wisteria that I planted out a couple of days ago. So only four more years before that one flowers.
I shall take a serious look at The Clematis when the flowers die in case there is a seed pod I can experiment with. Gosh. This is such a fun time of year.
This all should give you some idea of the state of my social life.

Lucky old you. Lily. Give me too hot any day. Although I am seriously considering an overhead fan for my bedroom.

I'm quite used to heat, Sabot, but this is a different kind from California. It is exhausting and the dust doesn't help. Signed....... I wanna go home.

Pull yourself together, Lily, and suffer for the greater good. Who ever contemplated sand storms before you said.
PS. Buy a Burkha.

Ah, thank you, Sabot. Good sense reigns. I will indeed buy one. I can stop complaining then. Who wants to sound like Bennett?

Re: Gardening Thread.
I've got this Theory, Lily. Burkahs are good for three things. Marrying off very ugly daughters. Hiding expensive designer clothes that most of us can't afford. And sand storms.
Allah wasn't daft you know.
PS. Is that Religiousist?
PPS. I don't care.

5. Pretending you are someone else. This should go down well with The Forkers, who are probably ugly as well.

And Gonc is fat and ugly. Not to mention a crook who is trying to hide. And you could sell one to Mz. Morais. I wouldn't say that she is ugly per se, but she is fat.
Sorry to all nice fat people everywhere. I am on a diet at the moment. But I think SCORCHIO could fix that. The sweat is rolling down my face at the moment.
