To confirm Theresa May's speech on Brexit is at 11.45am via @Number10gov
Lots of stirring stuff predicted here:

As has been pointed out in many comments, plucky little Britain is no longer Standing Alone, courtesy of Trump, as we battle a mad German Chancellor.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
May puts immigration curbs at heart of Brexit plan and warns EU could be 'crushed into tiny pieces' if it doesn't co-operate... but MPs WILL get a vote on final deal to quit the single market
Prime Minister is finally unveiling her blueprint for taking UK out of the EU
Rejects 'half-in, half-out' deal and makes clear are leaving the single market
Britain will regain control over borders and quit the European Court of Justice
Warns that EU could be 'crushed to tiny pieces' unless it recognises demands for greater sovereignty
But makes concession by announcing MPs and peers to get vote on final deal
Says should be fixed length 'transitional' deal to avoid cliff edge for business

Re: AFTER BREXIT
http://news.sky.com/story/pound-set-for-biggest-one-day-rally-since-2008-on-pms-brexit-speech-10732288
The pound has surged by more than three cents on Theresa May's Brexit speech putting it on course for its biggest one-day rise against the US dollar since 2008.
Sterling rocketed after the Prime Minister's vision for exiting the European Union appeared less "hawkish" than had been expected - and floated the possibility of an associate membership of the tariff-free customs union.
Markets were also cheered by the confirmation that Parliament would get a vote on the final terms of the Brexit deal and that there would be a transition phase to Brexit after divorce negotiations are completed.
:: What Theresa May's 12-point Brexit plan really means
Sterling leapt by nearly 3% to match the scale of one-day gains last seen in 2008 and overtake the size of a rally seen earlier this year ahead of the referendum.
Neil Wilson, senior market analyst at ETX Capital, said: "The pound took off like a rocket today on what amounts to a far less hawkish Brexit speech from Theresa May than many had feared."
The pound was at nearly $1.24 by the time stock markets closed in London, having started the day just above $1.20. It was also two cents ahead against the euro...etc.
LESS hawkish?

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Boris has caused Outrage! by invoking Godwin's Law:
http://news.sky.com/story/boris-johnson-dismisses-world-war-two-punishment-threat-10733123
Number 10 has insisted Boris Johnson was just making a "theatrical comparison" when he likened the French President to a World War Two guard.
The Foreign Secretary had warned Francois Hollande not to hit the UK with World War Two-style "punishment beatings" for leaving the EU.
His comments were condemned as "crass", "abhorrent" and "wild and inappropriate", but a spokeswoman for Theresa May insisted he had not been comparing the French President to a Nazi.
Mr Johnson had been responding to comments that Mr Hollande would not be prepared to give the UK a better deal outside the single market than it had in it.
He said: "If Monsieur Hollande wants to administer punishment beatings to anybody who chooses to escape, rather in the manner of some World War 2 movie, then I don't think that that is the way forward and I don't think it's in the interests of our friends and partners."
A senior Labour spokesman said: "We are all aware that the Foreign Secretary has a habit of making wild and inappropriate comments.
"Talking about World War Two in that context is another one of those and that is not going to be something that is going to improve the climate for this negotiation."
The Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron said the remarks were an "utterly crass and clueless remark from the man who is supposed to be our chief diplomat".
European Parliament Brexit negotiator Guy Verhofstadt tweeted: "Yet more abhorrent & deeply unhelpful comments from Boris Johnson which PM May should condemn."
But a spokeswoman for Mrs May condemned the reports of Mr Johnson's comments as "hyped up".
She said: "He was making a point. He was in no way suggesting that anyone was a Nazi."
She added: "There is not a Government policy of not mentioning the war."
During the EU referendum campaign, Mr Johnson came under fire for comparing the aims of the EU to those of Adolf Hitler....etc.
Michael Gove, clearly inspired by his trip to Trump Tower, has replied:

People "offended" by The Foreign Secretary's comments today are humourless, deliberately obtuse, snowflakes-it's a witty metaphor #getalife

Trident 'cover-up' claims: Fallon likely to face questions in Commons
The Defence Secretary is to likely to be questioned after the PM refuses to say if she knew about a failed Trident missile test.
Now, this is horribly embarrassing for both Ms May and the MoD - BUT
Do none of the idiots currently running around with their hair on fire screeching about 'nukes' realise it wasn't actually a nuclear warhead?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4144200/Trident-fiasco-covered-No10.html
It was a TEST DUMMY, YOU DUMMIES.
Yes, it's grossly embarrassing, and the PM would have had rather a lot of explaining to do if it had landed on Florida, but:
a. It didn't, the test was aborted.
b. IT WASN'T A NUCLEAR WARHEAD IN THE FIRST PLACE.
As so often happens with these things, the attempted cover-up is worse than the act that sparked it.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Seems it happened on Cameron's watch, Lily, and Mrs May was simply told about it. She should simply have blamed Dave, instead of well, waffling, and making matters worse.
It's not as if Russia, China, etc., won't have known about it as soon as it happened, after all.
I confess to being in awe of the stupidity of those who appear to think the test was being carried out with a real nuclear warhead....

Re: AFTER BREXIT
http://www.scotsman.com/news/michael-fallon-questioned-over-trident-misfire-in-commons-1-4346695
The chairman of the Commons Defence Committee Julian Lewis said Mrs May “should probably have spoken up” about any malfunction during last July’s debate, but put the blame for any cover-up on Mr Cameron’s team. “This test went wrong in June when it was a question for David Cameron and his team at No 10. “They evidently decided to cover this matter up,” Dr Lewis told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.
See, that's the way to do it! Own up, but blame someone else!

Re: AFTER BREXIT
http://news.sky.com/story/government-will-introduce-bill-to-start-brexit-process-within-days-10741014
The Government is planning to introduce a fast-track bill in Parliament on Thursday to begin the process of leaving the EU, according to Sky sources.
The move comes after the Government lost its Article 50 appeal in the Supreme Court, a defeat that was widely expected.
Speaking in the Commons within hours of the eight-three ruling by the Supreme Court judges, the Brexit Secretary David Davis warned MPs against attempting to sabotage the legislation in the Commons or the Lords.
"The purpose of this Bill is simply to give the Government the power to invoke Article 50 and begin the process of leaving the European Union," Mr Davis said.
"That's what the British people voted for and it's what they would expect.
"Parliament will rightly scrutinise and debate this legislation.
"But I trust no one will seek to make it a vehicle for attempts to thwart the will of the people or frustrate or delay the process of exiting the European Union."
:: Find out all the latest on Brexit news here
Mr Davis said the judgment did not affect the fact Britain will be leaving the EU in line with the result of last year's referendum, saying: "There can be no turning back.
"The point of no return was passed on June 23 last year.".....etc

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Well, whatever's in the Bill to go to Parliament, it should go through, Lily. Corbyn's said he won't oppose it (providing he doesn't change his mind in the meantime).
If the Lords try to stop it, then May will simply create more Lords, more to her taste.
The LibDems and a few stragglers have said they will oppose it, and Sturgeon is yet again running around with her hair on fire.
If she ever listened to anyone except her own clique of nodding donkeys, she would have grasped months ago that foreign policy, etc., is strictly Westminster's business, and she's supposed to be running our schools, police, etc - and not into the ground, as she is at present.
It's all very interesting.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Incidentally, bet you can't guess who was to blame for the hoo-ha over the Trident misfire.....
American technology was to blame for the problems in the June 2016 test and Barack Obama’s administration pressed the UK not to reveal details, The Times said.
Claims that a missile went off course last year have led to accusations there was a “cover-up” in the run-up to a major Commons debate on renewal of the £40 billion renewal of the Trident system.
Prime Minister Theresa May confirmed she was informed about the test before addressing MPs ahead of the July vote, which came just days after she entered office.
A British military source told the newspaper: “It was the Obama administration that asked the Cameron administration not to comment on this.
“The US administration may have been worried that there could be similar problems on other missiles.
“The British submarine successfully carried and launched the missile; the bit that went wrong was the US proprietary technology.”

https://www.buzzfeed.com/matthewchampion/the-report-jo-cox-was-working-on-before-she-died-says-britai?utm_term=.fuNQJdx1p#.jeRe67KRZ
Britain must be prepared to intervene in foreign conflicts in the future despite the consequences of the Iraq War, a report that Labour MP Jo Cox was working on when she was murdered last year has said.
“Knee-jerk isolationism, unthinking pacifism and anti-interventionism” threatened the safety of civilians around the world and national security back home, today’s report for the thinktank Policy Exchange says.
Oh, what a surprise, Mrs Cox was just another warmongering neo-con globalist! Mind you, her involvement with the so-called 'White Helmets' was a bit of a giveaway to anyone who was paying attention.
And you can be sure that the children of the likes of the late Mrs Cox are NEVER in the slightest danger from neo-con intervention - it's the children of the plebs elites like her despise who always do the fighting and dying.
Personally, I like the idea of some isolationism, pacifism and non-intervention, until such time as politicians and progressives show some sign of risking their own flesh and blood for George Soros.
