Oh yeah? So, who's publishing it? Who's selling it? How much did the publishers pay Anna Esse?

A rumour is going round the forkers that the libel trial is set for June or July. The Source of this vague tale is Morais, who has been caught telling whoppers for Gonc on more than one occasion, so it may well not be true.

And even if it is, that is right before the Portuguese courts break for the summer.

So no doubt Gonc's O Crime/'police superlawyer will be felled by galloping leprosy the day before the court is due to sit.

Or Gonc will accidentally drop his files in the Tagus.

He's bound to dream up yet another excuse not to go to court.

How many times now have Sargento and Carvalho got into trouble with the law over their high-handed conduct?

So when does Dear Julia get done. Or have The Television Company already paid out.

I doubt if they would bother charging Dear Julia, the Human Windmill - if ever a TV person deserved the title of 'bimbo', it's her.

I've never seen her do anything more demanding than simper at Amoral and Sargento, and wave her arms around.

That way they can spin it as a compromise they were willing to make so they can focuss all their attention on the search for Madeleine

If Amaral doesn't go for it, however, they may well have to just drop the action and walk away as you suggest

I am truly astounded that any sentient being can believe that the McCanns are begging Amoral to settle; if they ever took their hategoggles off, they would know why the very idea is laughable.

Because she's as thick as a brick, and cannot grasp that Amoral won that rather peculiar overturning on Yuman Rites grounds?

And anyone who doesn't think there is something well-dodgy about a court which doesn't inform opposing counsel of the hearing; which then leaks legal documents about the decision onto the internet via assorted Team Gonc hangers-on before opposing counsel is even informed of the hearing, never mind receive a copy of proceedings;

Really does deserve to live in a police state - and not bother crying if they find themselves on the wrong end of the law.
