Re: AFTER BREXIT
And that, in a nutshell, is why one of Sturgeon's few achievements has been sparking a Tory revival in Scotland.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Oh look!
The 'survey' in which Ms Sturgeon claims she's going to be listening to the people of Scotland - on which they have to put their names, addresses, and email addies - is being run by her husband, one P. Murrell.
No danger of any bias then, or of anyone that dares criticise Mrs Murrell being visited by activists.....

Yes, it's rather telling, in view of what was to follow - the British duckling was proven right.

Really can't think why Remain did so badly in the industrial North.

http://news.sky.com/story/difficult-times-ahead-for-uk-economy-pm-10564522
In it, Mr Obama spoke ominously about the potential for the "special relationship" between the UK and the US to "unravel".
"We're going to do everything we can to make sure that the consequences of the decision don't end up unravelling what is already a very strong and robust economic relationship that can become even stronger in the future," he said.
The US has been discussing a broad EU trade deal and said ahead of the Brexit vote that Britain would be at the "back of the queue" for a trade deal.
However, Mr Obama told the news conference he never said Britain would be punished, but made it clear current negotiations would not be shelved in favour of talks with the UK.
Doesn't matter what Obungle thinks. He'll soon be gone, and Mrs May will still be in office.

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Britain's May seeks out new trading relations post-Brexit
September 04, 2016
HANGZHOU, China (AP) — British Prime Minister Theresa May said Sunday that she intends to seize new trading opportunities for a Britain that has voted to leave the European Union, reiterating that "Brexit does indeed mean Brexit" and there will be "no attempt to get out of this."
After May's first meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama since she became British leader in July, the two leaders sought to downplay the impact of a British exit on the much touted "special relationship" between the U.S. and U.K.
But Obama did not back away from his assertion, first made as he campaigned against the exit, that Great Britain would have to wait its turn before the United States prioritized a new, separate trade deal with a newly independent Great Britain. Obama noted the U.S. remains focused on finishing trade deals with Asia-Pacific and with the European Union.

Yes, Obama's a lame duck now, and if the polls carry on the way they are, the next US President is going to be considerably more business-orientated.

The First Minister has offered to build a coalition with members of the UK Government who want the country to stay in the single market.
Sturgeon believes full membership of the EU is the best arrangement for the UK but if it is to leave the organisation then she believes it is important it remains inside its free trade area.
The single European market allows the free movement of people, goods and services and capital without trade tariffs.
In an interview with BBC Scotland, Sturgeon said: "Can there be a coalition across the UK that gets the UK into a more sensible position?
"I think that's worth a good try because Theresa May, she was on the Remain side, so presumably she knows the real risks of removal from the single market.
"Let's have a try at getting the UK, not into the best position - because the best position in my view would be continued membership of the EU - but let's try to get the UK as a whole into the least worst position and that means staying in the single market."
On Friday, Sturgeon launched a national survey to find out what the public think about independence and a second referendum.
Oh, that's a real vote winner - going into coalition with anti-Brexit Tories!

Re: AFTER BREXIT
Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie said Sturgeon support for independence means her party is "incapable" of reaching any deal with the UK Government.
He said: "Nicola's big idea is forming a coalition with Conservatives in London. We wish her well with that.
"Does the First Minister really expect us to believe that she can reach agreement with Tories in London when she has trashed the agreement we reached in Scotland over Brexit?
"An obsession with independence makes her incapable of reaching a constructive agreement with anybody."
Exactly. Sturgeon backstabs EVERYONE to suit herself.
